This being my 1st actually no absentee ballot, I was excited. I first went to the wrong place...oops, seems there is 2 alternative ed schools in JC. Once I found my way there was 3 people ahead of me and I waited maybe 5 mins! It was the best 1st voting in TN experience ever! Bill and I went at about 6:30 and there was nobody in front of us. I mean NO LINE AT ALL! Granted we live in a small town and vote in a county precinct, but I was thrilled! I’ve been registered to vote since March of 2004, two months after I turned eighteen and I have NEVER been summoned to Jury Duty. I don’t get that part??? And if I were then I am doing my duty as an American. What is the huge deal about it? I just think there are so many lazy Americans around, and I don’t mean couch potato lazy, I mean they care nothing about themselves.

I was there for about 20 mintues. There were only 2 people in line before me but only 1 voting booth. OMG I could not get over how ridiculous the lady behind me was about having to wait. She would sigh and say out loud "I've worked all day now this". Who cares? Tell me you are too busy than to wait 15 minutes to vote? Most people spend more than that amount of time watching TV or doing nothing productive!! I voted after work. I was there for about 20 mintues.
