Last weekend, SB and I were “trapped” on the hill where we live.
Thursday’s “chance of snow” turned into just a few flurries, and then sleet. Throughout the evening, the sleet turned to ice… and we couldn’t make it up the hill to get home.
We left SB’s car at the bottom of the hill and walked home. It’s not a bad trek, maybe 1/4 mile.
Friday morning, we walked back to the hill to find that the entire hill was still frozen. There was no bringing his car home! We did go into work late, and at the end of the work day… parked at the bottom of the hill and walked home.
By Saturday afternoon, someone had dumped ice melt/sand onto the street, and we were able to drive all the way home. Over the course of the weekend, we walked quite a bit- back and forth to get the car to go somewhere… the walk wouldn’t have been bad, if it weren’t sooo cold!
I’m happy to say that the start of this weekend, it’s been warmer. Yesterday, we had a “heat wave” – we made it to 57 degrees! Now that I can handle! I’m ready for Spring already.
