I am now on vacation for the next 225 hours. I’m not sure if it sounds better in hours, or in days.
I am sure I am going to have major FarmTown withdrawals within the next few days.
Yesterday…
I had a client tell me that she preferred receiving her shipments on COD, because when she locked up her shop at night… she knew everything inside was paid for. That’s a very interesting concept – I think she’s pretty smart for thinking this way.
Today…
My work friend Kim and I had Mexican for lunch. We had a margarita while we were there… and I was fairly surprised to get carded. We only do this sort of thing twice a year – “drinking on the job” – once around my birthday… and once around her birthday. It’s a small vice – but well worth it when it’s been a long week.
Today I removed my birthday from Facebook. I don’t want to receive a ton of wall posts from people… just because it’s my birthday. I remember my friends’ birthdays without Facebook… and the “friends” that are “true friends” will remember my birthday without a Facebook reminder.
In “public service” announcements…
If you have Comcast for your cable television provider… check the backside of your bill for a charge called “Channel Guide.” This is an obnoxious magazine that shows up in the mail once a month from Comast. It gives TV listings and other random cable news. I always threw the magazine away.
Be advised: You are paying $3.95/month for this magazine. I recently had this magazine cancelled from my cable TV subscription. Hey- I figure, if I’m not going to read it anyway… I might as well save the $3.95!
