Three Years

Three years ago today, I wrote this post:
Final Countdown

I can’t believe that, three years ago, tomorrow… Steven and I moved to Georgia. Sometimes, I wonder where the time went… other times, I feel like we’ve been here for years.

I am so lucky for the friendships I’ve kept over that time - most people just eventually fall off… they quit calling… then the emails get more and more infrequent… then it’s just exchanging birthday and holiday emails… and before you know it, they’re just gone.
That post still makes me a little sad, thinking of all the memories we shared there. I love the new life we’ve begun here… but the memories from the TRI will probably never fade. We’ve made wonderful new friends here, and like the TRI folks, I wouldn’t trade them for the world.
We are truly lucky in the changes and choices we have made. To all the people I’ve crossed paths with in my life, thank you for making me who I am today.
As Steven said one day back in 2005, “One door has closed, so that another one can open.” And they certainly have.

Yes, 3 yrs. Because as you remember I met Chad at your going-away party. Chad then officially asked me out on the 30th. So we just celebrated our 3 yr anniversary! Can you believe it?? Wow time flies! And to think if I wouldn’t have come I’d never met Chad.. Is that good or bad? =0) HAHA
