Final Countdown
Today was my last day at work. What a day. Thanks to Erica for the great photo album! It’ll be great to take all my friends with me!
Thanks to everyone who pitched in on the great “care basket” for me– all that stuff will come in handy as I am trying to get settled into my new life and new place. Thanks to JadaP for the wedding cake frame. Thanks to Joe for the mall gift certificate- he knows how a girl likes to shop! Thanks to all my computer nerd friends for the great breakfast yesterday morning- and from Atlanta Bread Company- how creative can you get?!
Tonight… we went to Fanatics one last time with Reed, Hannah, Karen, Jada, Robin and Matt. This time we didn’t drink as much and got a chance to really sit and talk… I’m going to miss all of you!
On the way home, I lost it. I just broke down about our move. I don’t know when this will all feel okay… I’m happy about the move… and all the things that lie ahead of us… but I’m sad to leave everyone here.
I never intended to stay in the Tri-Cities for 7 years… but in that time… I’ve grown to be who I am today. Steven says I was always who I am… but the Tri-Cities helped bring it out. I feel like Steven and I are the “glue” that holds everyone together- we are the ones that make the plans and decide where we’ll go every week… and I just wonder… once we’re gone, will any of these people hang out together?
My times here in the Tri-Cities are ones I will not soon forget. My friends here are the best friends ever– and I can only hope that I will not be “out of sight, out of mind.” I love you guys. Goodbye, keep in touch… and remember, I love you all.
Don’t cry for me… don’t cry for what we had… cry only because you’re happy about the times we shared- and never, ever forget the fun… and remember, we’re all only a phone call or an email away.
