Earlier this week, Steven had asked me if he could sing “Love Shack” with me this weekend at Karaoke. I agreed, even though Steven never wants to sing karaoke- ever.
So last night, we went to Fanatics… everyone was there- Karen, Matt Jones, Reed, Adam, Ozzy, Lisa & Justin, Jen & Matt, Sarah, Bethany, Kelly, Robin and Greg. We had the entire “bat bar” reserved for all of us!
About 9:30p, Marcus called me and Steven up to sing our song. Adam had my video camera on, to catch Steven doing karaoke… but as the song started, Steven made Marcus stop the music. He said the song was too fast and he wasn’t ready. He continued on saying that he was horrible at karaoke and there was no way he could sing and make me sound bad.
He said we’d been coming to Fanatic’s for many years and had some wonderful memories here in the Tri-Cities… and that he loved me, and wanted nothing more than to spend the rest of his life with me! Then he asked me to marry him!!!
I was so surprised when he pulled out the ring… and suddenly from the Fanatic’s kitchen/prep area came Mr. & Mrs. “B”, my parents and Kristina! Everyone was there to see US! And of course, I said YES! 
The evening was completely unexpected and absolutely wonderful! We spent the rest of the evening partying with all the people we truly love ~ I could not have asked for more!
